Misty Creek At Pet Fair In Lethbridge, AB

Misty Creek Dog Rescue has been invited by Prairie Dog Rescue to attend a one day Pet Fair in Lethbridge to showcase some of our dogs. The fair will operate from 10am to 5 pm in Lethbridge at the Paws on the Run Doggie Daycare located at 242 - 12 street North (across from Save On Foods) Please do not contact the doggie daycare for information as we are only using their facilities for the day.

Misty Creek Provides a Presentation to 4H Canine Critters

4H Canine Critters met with Misty Creek Dog Rescue on Tuesday, January 15 for a presentation on the shelter and it's activities. The children own dogs and actively train them for obedience and agility as part of their membership. Taking an interest in Misty Creek and our activities, the 4H Canine Critters made donations to the shelter that included many large bags of dog food, blankets, treats and toys. Misty Creek Dog Rescue would like to thank the members of the 4H group and appreciate their contributions to the shelter and love for animals!

Update On Trooper

After seeing the vet, it was discover the damage done to his eye is too severe to save his eye. The injury is weeks old and was originally a laceration. Trooper is in surgery today and will come back to the shelter on Wednesday.

November 29 update. Trooper is doing great despite the circumstances. This special little guy will be available by December 10th. Thank you to everyone who donated funds to help with this pup's vet bills

December 11 update. Trooper is now available for adoption, he has had his stitches removed.

January 17 - Trooper was adopted into a forever home.

Foster Homes Needed

We need foster homes in Calgary for puppies. We have puppies arriving at the shelter over the next couple days.

Dog Crates, blankets and towels are needed for the many new dogs taken in recently by the shelter. Please e-mail for drop off locations.

Make Donations

Cash donations help us with vet bills, kennel supplies/hardware, crates, traveling, etc.

• $100 donation can spay/neuter a dog
• $75 donation purchases a new kennel
• $50 donation pays for a homeless dog's travel to the shelter

Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a another dog to sleep in comfort, please click here.
